From Amman to Jarash and Umm Qais

Weather has been pretty cold and rainy in the last three days and all I wanted to do was to travel North to get as close to where I was in Lebanon a week ago.

Having quite a bit of luggage on my bike makes riding not really easy and in particular on the uphills I have to push the bike recurrently.

So, after landing in Amman on Sunday, I was riding under rain from the airport to Amman.

On Monday I drove from Amman to Jarash, the place where Jesus turned water into wine. Apparently they are celebrating this miracle still every year near the central fountain in the old city.

On Tuesday, I drove from Jarash to Umm Qais, the most northern point in Jordan. The triangle between Syria, Israel, and Jordan. Lebanon and Mount Hermon in view-sight. It’s still very cold, around 0 °C. That’s why I am staying in Airbnb’s or as for today in a simple bread and breakfast.

Enjoying the warm room I was playing today with creating some short videos which I record being on my bicycle. In the following video you can see how I got chased by beduin dogs. Quite scary but fortunately nothing serious happened.

Some other beduin footage during my trip…

Last but not least two photos of myself in the Yarmouk nature reserve near Umm Qais:
